What we really learned...
- Simplify when you can!
- Leave enough space to work on circuits in the final assembly. (Not having to disassemble your machine to work on circuits is a time saver) - Make your design modular to easily change things! Prototype when you can to check tolerances during construction. - Secure your circuits well. Being able to hear shifting breadboards is stressful. - Capacitors help, but make connections to the breadboard robust enough to prevent things shorting out on each other - Always update the state diagrams as things change - Updating circuit diagrams with pin outs and commenting in the code which pins go to which module helps a lot! - The laser cutter beds are 18" x 24"!! Keep this in mind when designing!! - Be careful with SourceTree |
